Day 1
CAIRO
The tour starts with a visit to the Giza pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Giza Pyramids. The great pyramid of King Cheops is considered as the highest pyramid ever built in Egypt.
You will also visit the 3,000 years-old Sphinx, a huge funeral complex guarded by the legendary lion body with the face of King Chephren; the valley temple where the the body of King Chephren was mummified.
The tour starts with a visit to the Sakkara area. In there, You will see the Saqqara Pyramid (also known as the Step pyramid; 27 km Southwest of Cairo). Sakkara is the first trial to build a pyramid-shaped tomb for King Zoser, the first user of limestone in this area.
After visiting Sakkara, You will be served a lunch break in a local deluxe restaurant. You will enjoy having a delicious meal accompanied by your local tour-guide.
From Sakkara, You will be taken to see the ancient Memphis City which was the first and oldest capital city of Egypt. It’s located at the Eastern bank of the River Nile. You will also get to see the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx.
You will also see the ancient statue of King Ramses the second, the god Ptah, goddess Sekhmet, the baskets for burning incense, coffins and the ancient Egyptian calendar.
The next stop will be a short visit to the Dahshur pyramids (Also known as Bent and Red Pyramids). These are considered to be the first true pyramids ever built by King Snefru, the founder of the 4th dynasty of the Pharaonic period.
King sneferu was also the father of King Cheops, who built the great pyramids of Giza. The Dahshur pyramids are among the oldest, largest and most preserved pyramids in Egypt, dating back from 2613 to 2589 BCE.
Finally, You will be taken to see the old Bazaar of Khan El Khalili. In there, You will get to see legendary shops displaying fine brass wares, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, antiques and lots more.
At the end of the tour, You will be taken back to the Cairo International Airport. Our expert guide will walke the extra mile and help with the paper work and all the documentation for your final departure.
